Chagrin Valley Chamber to host an Elderly Care Fair

Chagrin Falls – The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced that they will be hosting their first Elderly Care Fair on Tuesday, May 7th at the Chagrin Falls Township Hall, 83 N. Main St. in downtown Chagrin Falls from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

The event is created to answer all the questions that a loved one may have when making the very difficult decision of where to call home for their loved one.

Molly Gebler, the Executive Director of the Chagrin Valley Chamber, went through this process when her father was diagnosed with Dementia. “Not all facilities met the needs of my dad.” Gebler says. “It was a long process with visits, phone calls and even placing him in a few places, to find out it wasn’t what he needed, so we had to move him again.

Gebler shares that she knows a lot of folks are going through this with their loved ones and realized a need for the community. She reached out to the area’s best facilities and home-based agencies and asked them to participate in the Elderly Care Fair. This mission is simple, have the businesses share what they specialize in and allow people to get questions answered and learn more about what the Chagrin Valley has to offer in this area.

“It’s extremely important to me to create an evening where we offer answers and options for loved ones making this tough decision.” Gebler says, “We’ve done just that, and we hope the community benefits from it.”Free admission. Refreshments provided.
