One Dead After Euclid House Fire

Euclid - An early Monday morning house fire took the life of one man in Euclid.

Euclid Police were first on scene at 121 East 194th Street when reports came in of a blaze inside. Fire fighters arrived soon after, with neighbors telling them a bedridden man was inside.

"After we searched the living room, we had crews set up a ladder and climb through a second story window," said Assistant Euclid Fire Chief William Anderson. "We eventually found the man in a bedroom upstairs and got him out, but he was dead on scene."

The victim has not yet been identified, and the State Fire Marshal is looking into the blaze, which remains under investigation.
