Two Workers Struck By Car In South Euclid

South Euclid - Two road construction workers on line-painting duty struck by a vehicle around 3 am Thursday morning.

The incident happened along Cedar Road near Green Road. Both workers, who have not yet been identified, were transported to area hospitals, their conditions not known at this time.

South Euclid Police say the car, after striking the two workers, continued along Cedar before it hit a pole near Som Center Road, snapping the pole at the base before coming to a stop near Gilmour Academy. University Heights Police were also involved in the pursuit of the vehicle.

The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and is also hospitalized. Charges are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
