Employee Fight Ends in Death Outside Longtime Larchmere Pub

(Cleveland) - Cleveland police have now identified the man who was stabbed and killed Saturday night, outside the Academy Tavern, a mainstay of the Larchmere district.

Michael Reese was 23-years-old, and an employee of Academy Tavern.

Cleveland police say Reese and two other employees, Omar and Jeremy Calloway, got into a dispute in the bar/restaurant's kitchen, which then spilled outside the building. Reese was found stabbed, and later died of his wound. The two other men were arrested, and taken to University Hospital and treated for lacerations.

Family and friends of Reese told our news partner, WKYC TV in Cleveland, that they will be holding a vigil for Michael outside the Academy Tavern, beginning at 7pm Sunday evening.
