Fire breaks out above Lincoln Inn in Parma

Parma - A fire broke out inside an apartment over the Lincoln Inn in Parma Saturday morning.

Fire crews rushed to the building in the 5400 block of State Road, and noticed light smoke from the second floor.

Most of the residents had gotten out, and Parma police and firefighters helped another person leave.

The Fire Department says in a news released that "due to the design and construction of the building it became necessary to expose areas of the first and second floor to insure confinement and extinguishment."

However, the fire was out within fifteen minutes after crews arrived.

All of the residents, and their pets have been accounted for and are being sheltered at the Candlewood Suites in North Olmsted.

There were no injuries.

The cause remains under investigation.
