Cleveland, Ohio – Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Cordarin Simmons, 32 and Jesse Square, 31 on Friday for their involvement in a deadly home invasion last month in Florida.
Simmons and Square were wanted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for a home invasion robbery on Valentine’s Day this year, which resulted in a beating death. Task force members in northern Ohio arrested Simmons and Square near the 2100 Block of W.98th Street in Cleveland. Simmons and Square will be detained in local custody pending extradition back to Florida.
Assistant Chief Deputy US Marshal Brian Fitzgibbon commented “Collaborative state and federal law enforcement efforts from Florida to Ohio resulted in the arrest of two violent fugitives. Our fugitive task force is and always will be dedicated to protecting the citizens of northern Ohio.”
