Garfield Heights Homicide Suspect Caught By U.S. Marshals

Garfield Heights - Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Shakira Graham, 24, on her warrant for homicide, stemming from an incident in Garfield Heights in December 2018.

It is alleged that on December 17, 2018, Graham shot and killed 27 year old Meshach Cornwall inside a Garfield Heights home. Graham and Cornwall supposedly met on a dating website and Graham stayed over at Cornwall’s Garfield Heights residence on December 15, 2018. Two days later, Graham allegedly returned to kill Cornwall and steal various items from his residence. Last night, members of the US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Graham at an address near the 19600 Block of Fairmont Boulevard, Shaker Heights. She was taken straight to the Garfield Heights Police Department for questioning.

US Marshal Pete Elliott commented “Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Garfield Heights Police Department and our task force members, a violent fugitive is off the streets. We are very proud of the working relationships we share with the local police departments in Northern Ohio.”
