(Cleveland) - An Aviation Support unit of the Ohio National Guard is being deployed to Kuwait. This will be the first time Company B, 638th Support Battallion have been deployed as a company in its 71-year history of service.
The North Canton-based company will be doing field maintenance, battle damage assessment and repair, and dispatching Downed Aircraft Recovery Teams (DART) for CH-47 Chinooks, HH-60 Black Hawks, and AH-64 Apache helicopters.
Friday, the 8th, the public is invited to attend the Company's Call to Duty ceremony. That will take place at 11am, and will be located at Faith Family Church on Freedom Road, in North Canton.
