Cleveland - Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and with about 45 percent of all U.S. adults being single, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on 2 019's Best and Worst States for being single, with the buckeye state making the top ten.
To help unattached Americans improve their chances of finding love, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 28 key indicators of dating-friendliness. The data set ranges from share of single adults to movie costs to nightlife options per capita.
Dating in Ohio (1=Best; 25=Avg.):
- 17 th – % of Single Adults
- 3 rd – Gender Balance of Singles
- 30 th – Online-Dating Opportunities
- 21 st – Median Annual Household Income (Adjusted for Cost of Living)
- 14 th – Restaurants per Capita
- 9 th – Movie Theaters per Capita
- 20 th – Crime Rate
Among the key indicators, Ohio came in at number nine in "Dating Opportunities", or places to take your date out. Even more impressively, the buckeye state finished seventh in "Romance and Fun" rankings.
