Theft, Solon Community Center :January 24th, 2019 4:57 PM.A 72 year old Solon man reported that he placed his personal property in a locker in the men’s locker room and then went and worked out. The victim reports that he did not lock his locker prior to leaving the locker room. Approximately 45 minutes later he returned to find his property missing. Missing was his car keys, cash, credit cards and clothing. There has been no activity on his credit cards and they have all been cancelled.

OVI, SR 91: January 26 th , 2019 at 2:17 AM. An officer observed a vehicle being operated on SR 91 without the headlights being illuminated. The vehicle was stopped north of Miles Rd. When asked why the headlights were not on the driver stated “I’m in a hurry to visit my boss” The officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and the driver admitted to drinking “one or two beers earlier”. The driver was found to be impaired and arrested. Richard M. Gonzalez, 57 of Solon, was arrested and taken to the Solon Correction Center. Mr. Gonzalez attempted to contact his attorney but discovered the number had been disconnected. Mr. Gonzalez refused to submit to a breath test and his driver’s license was suspended immediately. He is charged with operating a vehicle without headlights and OVI.

OVI, SR 91: January 26 th , 2019 at 8:33 PM. A patrol officer on patrol observed a vehicle south bound on SR 91 near Cromwell Dr. The vehicle was clocked by radar at 58 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone.The vehicle was stopped on SR 91 near Pettibone Rd. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver admitted to having “four drinks” and also that he had a concealed weapons permit and a weapon in the glove box. The officer also observed a small child in the vehicle. The driver was given field tests and determined to be impaired. Carldell D. Moore, 39 of Solon was arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center. The child was released to a relative at the scene. During an inventory of the vehicle, a gun and a magazine loaded with 8 rounds was found in the glove box. Mr. Moore submitted to a breath test with a result of .141. He is charged with, Speed, OVI, Prohibited BAC, Endangering Children, weapons while intoxicated.

Domestic Violence, 34300 Park East Dr.: Solon Police Officers were dispatched to an apartment at 34300 Park East Dr. to investigate a complaint of Domestic Violence. Responding officers learned that the male and female parties had been engaged in an argument regarding an event from the prior day. Both parties admitted physical contact with each other. Since it could not be determined who the primary aggressor was both parties were arrested and taken to the Solon Correction Center. Two minor children that had been at the apartment at the time of the call were left in the care of a grandmother. Children services were notified.
