Rocky River Police Blotter: January 29th

Rocky River - 

  • On 01/25/2019 at about 9:00 AM a 24-year-old Rocky River woman reported the theft of her wallet from Fitworks, 20001 Center Ridge Rd. The complainant reported that on 01/16/2019 she locked her personal belongings in a locker while she exercised. When she returned to the locker, she discovered the lock had been removed, her things were disturbed, and her wallet containing credit cards, $50 cash, and other personal items missing. Police are investigating.


  • On 01/26/2019 at about 2:005 AM a police officer saw a car stuck in the snow in the front yard of a Hilliard Blvd. home. Tire tracks leading from the car indicated it had driven off the roadway and through two yards and collided with a parked car before getting stuck.

While talking to the driver officers noticed indications of impairment. Abigail Stewart, 25-years-old from Olmsted Falls, was arrested and charged with drunk driving, reckless operation, and failure to display a driver's license. 

  • On 01/27/2019 at about 5:30 PM police went to Giant Eagle 22160 Center Ridge Rd. to investigate a theft offense. Store loss prevention personnel reported a man left the store without paying for a case of beer and other items. Police located a man matching the description provided walking away from the store with a case of beer and gallon of milk. He also had a package of Bic cigarette lighters in his pocket. Dwayne Cochrane, 57-years-old from Rocky River, was arrested for theft. 2019-00168 Incident & Booking are attached.
