Multiple reports of low or no water pressure for people in Middleburg Heights, Strongsville, Parma, Parma Heights and North Royalton have been sent in.
Cleveland Water Director of Distribution Kim Thompson says work is being done to repair a 36 inch water main.
"Weather may have played a small factor in the break, but we're expected more of those issues as the week goes on and for smaller lines, like those for houses," says Thompson.
The break caused multiple schools, daycares and the Strongsville Rec Center to close their doors.
Also, there is a boil advisory in effect for people in Strongsville and Middleburg.
Cleveland Water released a map indicating who is impacted.
A boil advisory means water should be brought to a rolling boil for 1 to 3 minutes before it is used.
