(Lake County, OH) -- A ten-year-old girl died overnight after a car wreck on Interstate-90 northbound in Mentor. Police say the vehicle she was riding in was hit by a semi-truck in the area of State Routes 306 and 615. A woman from South Euclid was driving the Chevy that was hit by the truck and police say the impact pushed the vehicle down an embankment. The victims have been identified as:
Ji Ferguson, 10, of South Euclid, died from her injuries at the scene, a Mentor spokesman said.
Police said 37-year-old Kia Ferguson, who was driving the car, and 6-year-old Kobe Ferguson remain in the intensive care units at two area hospitals.
The truck driver was not hurt.
