One dead and one wounded in East Side shooting

Police line tape

(Cleveland) - Officers responded to 1082 E. 105th street on January 10, 2019 at the Glenville Grocery Store lot for shots fired at approximately 5:40pm.

The victim was  shot in the lot and walked to E. 105 and Ostend where he collapsed.

EMS transported the 27 year old victim to University Hospitals due to a gunshot wound to the chest.  Doctors were unable to save him.

While detectives were on the scene, they say they learned that the victim was either walking or standing in the lot when he was shot by an unknown male suspect.

Investigators say the second victim was not involved with the first victim or suspect. Forty year old Heather Brown was driving into the lot and a bullet struck her vehicle, and sustained a minor abrasion to her face.

So far police have no arrests. They are searching for a black male in his late 20s, slim build, about 6 feet tall.
