(Cleveland) - Trial is set for June 17th for Lance Mason. The former Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judge appeared in court this afternoon, charged with the murder of his ex-wife.

Mason pleaded not guilty. The 51 year old is accused of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, violating a protection order and grand theft.

Police say Mason stabbed Aisha Fraser in a Chagrin Boulevard home in November. He was then held in jail for two weeks after allegedly injuring a Shaker Heights police officer while fleeing from the scene.

Mason is being held on five million dollars bond.

Mason was convicted of punching his wife 20 times in 2014 while in their car. He admitted to the charges.

A witness called 9-1-1 to report the beating to police. Mason's wife was beaten so badly, she had to have reconstructive surgery.
