This conflicting opinion is one of the main reasons why the President will be traveling there today.
What residents of McAllen must understand is that they aren't the only people affected by what happens in the town, which has always been an important point of entry for immigrants entering the country.
As much as opponents of the wall may not like it, money has already been been funded by Congress to build a 25 mile section of the wall. This section may be just the beginning as Republicans have said they will not back down from their position.
