Armed robber strikes Painesville Township Marathon

Painesville Township Robbery

(Painesville Township) - On Monday January 7th at 12:57pm The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Marathon gas station located at 1744 N. Ridge Rd. for an armed robbery. 

A white male wearing light blue jeans, tan work boots, a black bomber style jacket with a checkered pattern on the shoulders, navy hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark colored gloves with red stripes, grey knit cap, orange mask covering the bottom half of his face, and dark sunglasses entered the store and brandished a black semi-automatic handgun at the clerk. 

This morning, at approximately 10 a.m., a suspect was arrested at a motel in the Euclid area, and is now in custody in Lake County Jail.

Based on a information obtained by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau, the Sheriff's Office notified the United States Marshal Task Force of the suspect's believed location at the Euclid area motel, and there the US Marshal's arrested Brian Paul Snyder (born 9-16-1990) on an active Probation Violation warrant. 

Snyder is presently being questioned regarding his involvement in the armed robbery.
