George Brinkman Sentenced To Death For North Royalton Murders

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced that a three-judge panel sentenced George Brinkman Jr. to death for the murders of Suzanne Taylor, and her two daughters, Taylor Pifer and Kylie Pifer.

Brinkman, 46, had known Taylor since elementary school. On June 10th, 2017, Brinkman held all three females captive inside Taylor’s North Royalton home. He stabbed Suzanne Taylor in the head and slit her throat in front of her two daughters. He smothered the 21-year-old daughter (Taylor Pifer) with a pillow and then strangled the 18 year-old daughter (Kylie Pifer) with a phone cord.

The following day, Brinkman drove to Lake Township in Stark County, Ohio and killed husband and wife Rogell and Roberta John inside their home. Brinkman has been indicted in Stark County Court of Common Pleas for these aggravated murders.

North Royalton Police arrested Brinkman following a nine-hour standoff in Brunswick in the early morning hours of June 13th, 2017.

“Brinkman is a mass murderer who should quickly be executed,” stated Prosecutor O’Malley. “My thoughts and prayers are with the families of his five victims.”

A Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Brickman with 13 counts: six (6) counts of Aggravated Murder, with Felony Murder and Course of Conduct specifications, three (3) counts of Kidnapping, three (3) counts of Gross Abuse of a Corpse, and one (1) count of Aggravated Burglary.
