Fairview Park Police Blotter: Drunk Man In Her Backyard

December 17, 2018               Theft             Gemini Center                     1500hrs.

An Elmore Rd. resident reported his wallet was taken from an unsecured locker in the Gemini Center men’s locker room. The theft is still under investigation.

December 18, 2018         Attempted Burglary      4067 Wooster Road          2307 hrs.

A resident called  911 to report someone trying to gain entry into the back door of her home. Officers arrived 3 minutes later and found a highly intoxicated 52 year old Cleveland man in the back yard. He was quickly taken into custody. Officers discovered fresh damage to the home and narcotics on the male. Initial investigation showed the male was acting out due to his intoxication as he had no idea where he was. He was arrested and held until he appeared in Rocky River Municipal Court on felony charges.

December 20, 2018       O.V.I.          Brookpark Rd.                          1013hrs.

While monitoring traffic speed on Brookpark Rd. an officer clocked a Ford Fusion traveling  61 miles an hour in a 40 mile an hour zone. The officer stopped the car and a 31 year old Lakewood man driving. The driver exhibited physical signs of alcohol impairment. He was arrested and returned to the police station where he submitted a breath sample and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .157.  The legal limit in Ohio is .080.  He was assigned a Rocky River Municipal Court date and released on bond to a sober individual.

December 21, 2018         Suspicious Person     20820 Lorain Road     1450 hrs.

The Fairview Park Police responded  to the apartment building on the report of a couple suspicious people talking to residents. When officers arrived they learned the duo was soliciting for an energy company. One of the solicitors who lives in Lorain had a warrant for her arrest out of the State of Indiana. The warrant was confirmed. She was arrested and held until she could be picked up by Indiana officials.
