East Cleveland Salvation Army Holds Christmas Feast

East Cleveland - The second annual Christmas Feast held Thursday at the Salvation Army East Cleveland.

The event, which recieves donations from TeamCribbs Foundation, #RAKE and Meritech, is more then just a feast however.

"It's the message that those in need, even beyond financial need, like those who are lonely or scared, can come and we can help them, especially during the holiday season," says Major Tom Applin.

The event started last year after Cleveland Browns Special Teams Coach Josh Cribbs learned that the Salvation Army would not be able to host it's annual dinner due to lack of funds and food. With that, he jumped into action.

"We love working with the Salvation Army and immediately wanted to help. Everyone deserves a hot meal during the holidays," says Cribbs.

The event also featured haircuts for kids and family Christmas photos.

Major Applin says they expected anywhere from seven to eight hundred people to attend the feast.
