The Cleveland Indians depart the Major League Winter Meetings in Las Vegas on a busy note. The Tribe has dealt 1B/DH Edwin Encarnacion to Seattle in exchange for former Indians First Baseman Carlos Santana who was recently traded to Seattle by Philadelphia.
Santana hit .229 with 24 home runs and 86 RBI for the Phillies last season. Encarnacion hit .246 with 32 HR's and 107 RBI for the Tribe in 2018.

The Indians also traded away IF Yandy Diaz to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Tribe receives First Baseman Jake Bauers in the deal. Bauers is 23 years old. He hit .201 with 11 home runs and 48 RBI's in 96 games last season with the Rays.
