Westlake - What started as an altercation in the parking lot of a business turned into an all out police chase Tuesday afternoon in Westlake.
Westlake Police say they received multiple calls about an altercation in the parking lot of Hyland Software on Clemens Road around 1 p.m. Tuesday. Reports were that a possible theft had been occurring at the scene.
One suspect was detained at the scene, while the other sped off in a vehicle. The pursuit, which went through Bay Village, back into Westlake and led to several cars being struck on Detroit and Cahoon roads.
Officers report they do have both suspects in custody. The intersection of Detroit and Cahoon remains closed as emergency personnel work through the area and a follow-up investigation continues.
Westlake Police ask you avoid the intersection until given further notice.
