Milwaukee-After the Cleveland Cavaliers played perhaps their best game of the season against the Washington Wizards, the Cavs fell flat against the Milwaukee Bucks 108-92. Tristan Thompson also left the game with a left foot injury.
The headlines will focus on Collin Sexton who could only score 15 points (5-18 from the field tonight) after his stand-out performance against John Wall on Saturday night. The Bucks were up by as many as 29 points as the rest of the Cavs starters outside of Sexton and Thompson only scored 14 points.
The good news was the return of Matthew Dellavedova in a Cavs uniform. His first game was against his old team (same for George Hill in a Bucks uniform vs Cleveland). Dellavedova scored 11 points off the bench (Hill had 2 points)
The Bucks were led by Eric Bledsoe with 20 points, Malcolm Brogdon with 18 points, and Khris Middleton with 16 points. They also had timely three-pointers as they hit 15 threes. Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play Monday night as he had neck soreness.
Cavs return home for a three game homestand, beginning with the New York Knicks Wednesday night follow by a rematch with the Bucks Friday night at The Q. Milwaukee will begin a three game road trip with a Wednesday night game against the Indiana Pacers before coming to Cleveland Friday night.
