CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns showed up the the stadium ready to be the playoff spoiler. Mayfield got the momentum rolling today with a 51-yard pass into traffic to Jarvis Landry, who also had a 3-yard scoring run and added a long 50-yard run. Nick Chubb  scored on a 1-yard run to give the Browns their first lead of the game with 13:05 left, and they never looked back. Browns kicker Gregg Joseph tacked on a field-goal to expand the lead to 26-20.

Cam Newton got the ball back with slightly over a minute remaining, with  a chance to drive down and get the game winning touchdown. When the Browns needed a stop the most, Demarious Randall intercepted Cam Newton to seal the Browns 3rd victory in the last four games.

The Browns now improve to 4-2-1 at FirstEnergy Stadium, clinching their first winning home season since going 7-1 with Romeo Crennel in 2007. Nick Chubb became the first Browns player to score a rushing TD in five consecutive games since Greg Pruitt in 1975. Mayfield joined Kurt Warner (1999) and Brad Johnson (1996-7) as the only players since 1966 to throw at least one TD pass in each of their first 10 career games. Browns center JC Tretter barely made it off the fiield in the third quarter before dropping to his knees. Tretter, who played several weeks with a severely sprained right ankle, ended up returning to the game.

The Browns will head to Denver to take on the Broncos on Saturday night, December 15th. Kickoff is set for 8:20 PM ET at Mile High Stadium.
