CLEVELAND -- The young duo of De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield had the Sacramento Kings rolling tonight. Fox put up a double-double, scoring 30 points and dropping 12 assists. Buddy Hield knocked down 5 out of 8 three pointers, and scored 25 points. The Cavs and Kings went into halftime with the game tied 66, then Hield and Fox came out in the second half and each hit two 3-pointers within the first five minutes of the third quarter, which helped the Kings open up an 84-73 lead.
Jordan Clarkson continued to be an efficient spark from the bench, leading all Cavs in scoring with 26 points. Cavs rookie guard Collin Sexton was going back-and-forth with De'Aaron Fox, as he had an impressive 18 points at half, and ended up finishing the game with 23. Recent acquisition Alec Burks seems to be fitting in well, as he lit it up with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists.
The Cavaliers played the second half short-handed after Rodney Hood had suffered from an apparent foot injury. Cavaliers Coach Larry Drew stated that he does not know if Hood will be good to go for the next game yet. The Cavaliers will remain home to take on the Washington Wizards tomorrow night, tip-off set for 7:30 pm ET, at quicken Loans Arena.
