Cleveland - Major League Baseball officials have announced former Cleveland Indians infielder Luis Valbuena died in a car crash Thursday in Venezuela.
Valbuena played with the Tribe from 2009 to 2011, and was a career .226 hitter with 114 home runs. The utility man played for five MLB teams overall, including this past season with the LA Angels.
Friend and former middle infielder for the Chicago White Sox Jose Castillo also died in the accident.
