Murder Suspect Arrested in North Olmsted, Ohio

Fugitive Task Force

North Olmsted, Ohio– U.S. Marshals in Cleveland arrest Angel Ogando, 25, who was wanted for a homicide that occurred in Orlando, Florida in June 2017.

In June 2017, Ogando allegedly shot and killed a female in her Orlando, Florida home. The incident was originally investigated as a suicide and Ogando was questioned immediately following the incident and released. New evidence came out in late 2018, which lead to a warrant for homicide being issued for Ogando.

Today, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Ogando near the 4800 Block of Columbia Road in North Olmsted after they developed information he was hiding here with a female associate. Ogando is currently in custody at the Cuyahoga County Jail awaiting extradition back to Columbus. U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated “From law enforcement in Florida developing the new information, to the task force here tracking Ogando’s whereabouts, this is a great example of relentless police efforts.”
