Passengers head for Hopkins International

Cuyahoga County) - Lines will be long at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport today as travelers head out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend.

Airport officials say today is typically the busiest day of the year, with an estimated 270,000 passengers.

TSA regional spokesman Mark Howell says they expect to screen 150,000 people at Hopkins during this Thanksgiving travel period, with today and Monday the heaviest days.

TSA Security Officer Jeffrey Taylor says you can bring most Thanksgiving foods in your carry-on bags, unless they involve moisture or liquids.

Frozen turkeys can be carried on, but are best put in luggage.
