DETROIT-The Cavs were left in the dust early and despite a late run, were never able to recover as they fell to the Detroit Pistons 113-102.

The final score doesn't display how the Pistons controlled the game especially after the first quarter, scoring 38 points and shooting 74 percent from the field.

The Cavs never found an answer for the Pistons as they allowed Detroit to score the first 11 points of the 2nd quarter and lead by as many as 30 points midway through the 3rd. Anything that could fall for Detroit did.

Andre Drummond led with 23 points and 16 rebounds while Blake Griffin had 21 points, 12 rebounds and Reggie Bullock added with 21 points.

Collin Sexton was the leading scorer with the Cavs with 18 points. However, Sexton was injured during the game. He said in postgame he could've played more if he had to since he only played in 24 minutes of game action. But he is still working on his jumpshot.

Cavs go back to the drawing board before hosting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday night. 4 of the next 5 games on the Cavs schedule will be against teams above .500.
