(Cleveland) - The Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper is strongly reacting to a decision by incoming Secretary of state Frank LaRose.
The Republican has selected Ken Blackwell to lead his transition team.
Pepper tells Newsradio WTAM 1100, “Ken Blackwell was universally acknowledged as a disaster when he was Ohio secretary of state -- during the 2004 election, some Ohioans waited in line up to 10 hours, and perhaps more than 170,000 would-be voters left before casting a ballot."
Blackwell was also a member of President Donald Trump’s voter fraud commission, which some critics claim was an effort to remove likely Democratic voters.
Pepper says Blackwell has recently appeared on TV, claiming with zero evidence that Democrats are ‘manufacturing voters’ in Florida, where Republicans are trying to shut down the counting of absentee ballots.
Pepper is urging LaRose to fulfill his election promises to be bipartisan and fair, by asking Blackwell to step down.
Pepper calls Blackwell a partisan hack who will run Ohio’s elections to only help boost Trump and the Republican Party.
