Sen. Sherrod Brown retained his Ohio U.S. Senate seat easily defeating Congressman Jim Renacci.  The race was called shortly after polls closed in Ohio at 7:30 p.m. and Renacci gave his concession speech in Wadsworth around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Brown vowed to continue his fight for Progressive issues and attacked President Trump in his victory speech saying, “We will never yield the hallowed ground of patriotism to extremists."

Brown was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006.
