Garfield Heights - A man is in custody after leading Garfield Heights Police on a chase late Wednesday into Cleveland.
26-year-old Deonte Golston reportedly was fleeing from officers when he drove his 2011 Buick Lacrosse into a tree on Broadview Road, then crashed into the steps of an apartment complex near West Shaaf.
Golston had to be extracted from the car by officers because it caught on fire. Golston suffered a broken leg from the crash and was taken to Cleveland Metro for treatment. Charges are pending.
