TAMPA, Fla -- After missing an extra point and a 40-yard field goal, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked to Chandler Catanzaro to win the game in overtime. Catanzaro lined up for what would be the longest overtime kick ever, and drove the ball through the uprights with 1:50 to spare in overtime.
Jameis Winston had a field day against the Browns secondary. Winston completed 32 passes out of 52 attempts, for 365 yards. While the Bucs did not have a passing touchdown, their run game stepped up. Desean Jackson scored on a reverse in the 2nd quarter to take a 9-2 lead. Jameis Winston followed up with a 14 yard rushing touchdown, scrambling behind his right guard. Ronald Jones scored the Bucs' third rushing touchdown late in the 3rd quarter on a short 2-yard rush.
The Cleveland Browns defense forced 4 turnovers, but that was not enough. A struggling Browns offense was only able to put up 6 points off of turnovers. Going into the 4th quarter, the Browns had a staggering 126 yards of total offense. Nick Chubb cut the deficit to 7 after pounding it up the middle for a 2-yard touchdown run. With 2:28 remaining in regulation, Baker Mayfield found Jarvis "Juice" Landry across the middle for a 16-yard touchdown to tie the game.
The Browns were given two drives in overtime with a chance to seal their first road victory since October 11, 2015, but could not get the job done. Cleveland moves to 2-4-1 on the season, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now 3-3. The Browns continue their roadtrip on Sunday, October 28th against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kick-off set for 1:00 pm.
