Solon To Host Hurricane Florence Donation Drive

Solon - The City of Solon will be holding a Hurricane Florence Donation Drive on Wednesday, October 10th at Solon Center Community Center from at 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

“Frank Corlett, an employee with the Finance Department approached me with the idea for this donation drive. ‘Service over self’ is the motto of our City. Our residents, businesses, and employees live it every day and this confirms our passion to help others in need. Frank, Allyne Zamcheck, Dave Peleg and Michelle Dinda should be commended for all of their hard work in putting this fundraiser together. They have contacted local businesses who are donating food and raffle prizes for the event,” said Mayor Kraus.

Here are the details for the event:

When: Wednesday, October 10, 20186:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Where: Solon Community Center 35000 Portz Parkway Solon, Ohio 44139

Cost: Tickets are $25.00. Cash or checks only. Checks can be made out to the American Red Cross. Each ticket is automatic entry for Door Prize. Sales will be located at City Hall and at the Event. 

50/50, tickets on sale for $2.00 a piece, cash only (sold at City Hall, and at the Door)

Chinese Raffle, tickets on sale for $1.00 a piece, cash only (sold at the Door only)

No one has to be in attendance if they are selected a winner as long as they have their name and phone number listed on the tickets. Winners will be contacted if not in attendance on the phone number provided.
