(Elyria) - Cameras are rolling in the area between Broad and Harrison Streets, as well as Washington Avenue, as crews film exterior scenes for the movie "All The Night Places".
It stars Elle Fanning, The younger sister of superstar actress Dakota Fanning. In the story, Theodore Finch and Violet Markey are two teenagers who want to escape from their small Indiana town.
The New York Times favorably compared All the Bright Places to Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor & Park, and John Green's The Fault in Our Stars in that Violet and Finch are the archetypal offering in contemporary young adult fiction: a pair of damaged, heart-tugging teenagers who are at once outcasts and isolated, trapped by the dissonant alchemy of their combined fates.
The City of Elyria is playing the part of Richmond, Indiana in the film, which is based on the 2015 novel by Jennifer Niven.
Because of filming there are traffic restrictions, compounded by ongoing constructions projects. The film is expected be in theaters next year.
