(Cleveland) - The Indians are preparing to take their shot at the defending champs.
The Tribe begins the American League Division Series against the Astros in Houston on Friday afternoon.
Game 1, Cleveland at Houston 2:05 p.m./1:05 p.m. Central Time, with RHP Corey Kluber vs. RHP Justin Verlander.
Game 2, CLE @ HOU 4:37 p.m./3:37 p.m. CT, with RHP Carlos Carrasco vs. RHP Gerrit Cole.
Game 3, CLE @ HOU 4:37 p.m./3:37 p.m. CT with RHP Mike Clevinger vs. LHP Dallas Keuchel.
Game 4 is Tuesday October 9th if necessary.
Tribe Manager Terry Francona says he actually likes these short 5 game series, especially when this team has time to prepare.
Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis doesn't believe starting the series at 1pm Houston time on Friday will not be problem, even though most ballplayers are geared toward evening games.
The Indians will workout on this Thursday in Houston at 4PM CT.
