Suspects Caught In Elyria Murder

Elyria - Elyria police have arrested two men believed to be conected to the shooting death of a man is who was found lying on the ground at an apartment complex in Elyria.

Police found 20-year-old Zachary Mason with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to his torso Monday evening near 1442 West River Road North. 

After interviewing witnesses, detectives say Mason was shot on the second floor landing area of 1444 West River Road North, then was able to exit the building before collapsing in the parking lot of the complex.

Detectives arrested 18-year-old Keeon Green Jr. and 28-year-old Lance Cheers without incident in connection to the shooting. Both are charged with aggravated robbery and are being held without bond at the Lorain County Jail.

Mason was taken to University Hospital's Elyria Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
