White Sox Beat Indians With Three-Run 9th

(Chicago, IL)  --  The White Sox scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to rally for a 5-4 win over the Indians in Chicago.  Yolmer Sanchez singled in the tying run before Daniel Palka hit a walk-off, two-run single to end it.  

Avisail Garcia drilled a two-run homer in the first inning for the Southsiders, who snapped a three-game skid.  Ian Hamilton was credited with his first career win.  

Yan Gomes homered and Yonder Alonso drove in two for Cleveland, which had won its previous three.  Carlos Carrasco suffered the loss.  He came in to relieve starter Trevor Bauer, who had just his second start after coming off the DL.

The Indians and White Sox play the rubber game of the series Wednesday night.  Shane Bieber will start for the Tribe, while Jace Fry starts for Chicago.  First pitch at 8:10 p.m.  Hear the game on WTAM 1100 AM  and 106.9 FM, and on 100.7 WMMS.
