CLEVELAND - A new Cleveland-centric mural will greet travelers at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport starting next week, thanks to a collaboration between Destination Cleveland, American Greetings, CLE, Sherwin-Williams and ShurTech Brands.
The nearly 500-foot-long mural will be on the exterior walls across from the baggage claim exits. David Gilbert, president and CEO, Destination Cleveland said “We want to provide a positive impression that reflects the essence of Cleveland to travelers from the moment they arrive."
Designed by local artist Terran Washington, the addition to the arrivals level of the airport will feature many locations and landmarks throughout Cleveland - from iconic attractions to outdoor activities to architecture and art, giving travelers an immediate sense of place.
Installation of the mural began September 18th and, weather permitting, is estimated to be completed in approximately five days.
