CLEVELAND – James E. Voos, MD, has been named Chair of the Department of Orthopaedics at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He served as the interim Chair for the past eight months.
Dr. Voos is a renowned expert in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and a faculty member at UH since 2014. He will also serve as the System Lead for Orthopaedic Surgery in development of an integrated Orthopaedic Institute.
“Dr. Voos has demonstrated extraordinary leadership capabilities while serving as interim Chair,” said Daniel I. Simon, MD, President, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. “He will continue to advance our orthopaedic clinical, educational and research objectives.”
Voos is also serving as the Cleveland Browns team physician.
