(Cleveland) - Cleveland's Opportunity Corridor Project is moving forward. It's to connect I-490 with University Circle.
Phase 1 of the project was completed last year, widening East 105th Street between Quebec and Chester Avenues.
Amanda McFarland of ODOT District 12 says, Phase 2 is currently underway, and is a new roadway between East 93rd Street and Quebec Avenue, and should be open this fall.
She tells Newsradio WTAM 1100, Phase 3 will create a new roadway connecting I-490 at East 55th Street, to East 93rd, past Buckeye and Woodland. That is a 2 mile stretch costing $150 million dollars.
Phase 3 is currently being designed, with major construction to start in the spring. It's to open in the fall of 2021.
