Coast Guard suspends search for missing boater

Cleveland - The U.S. Coast Guard announced it has suspended the search for a missing boater in Lake Erie, after a body matching the description was found Saturday afternoon.

The Coast Guard says a Good Samaritan found the missing boater around 12:00 noon Saturday about three miles north of the mouth of the Vermilion River, and was not wearing a life jacket.

Crews from the Coast Guard, along with Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Huron Police and Fire Departments, searched through the night Friday after the boater was reported missing.
