Bay Village Police Reports: August 21 - August 25

Bay Village - 

On 08/21/2018, at 0106 hrs, a BVPD officer located two suspicious males walking in the parking lot of Bay Methodist Church.  Upon speaking with them, the officer suspected the two underage males had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, both males were arrested for Underage Consumption of Alcohol.  The 20-yoa Bay Village residents will face charges at RRMC.

On 08/21/2018, at 1434 hrs, a resident in the 600 block of Walmar reported that she  was scammed out of $776.00 over the phone by someone claiming to be from her bank.  Police are investigating, and remind residents not give out your personal information over the phone to unsolicited callers.

On 08/25/2018, at 0217 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. at Bradley Rd. for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 25-yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  The Cleveland resident will face charges at RRMC. 

On 08/25/2018, at 1746 hrs, BVPD officers were dispatched to the area of Eaton Way and Lake Forest for a male that was soliciting and appeared to be intoxicated.  Officers located the male on Lake Forest near Wolf Rd.  After speaking with the 33-yoa male, officers suspected the male was under the influence of drugs.  A consent search of the male was conducted.  Officers located drugs on the subject.  The Springfield, Oh, resident was arrested for Drug Possession.  He will face charges at RRMC.

On 08/25/2018, at 2159 hrs, a motorist called in a possible impaired driver on Columbia at the railroad tracks.  A BVPD officer stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation on Elmwood near Osborn.  After speaking with the 62-yoa male, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Bay Village resident was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.
