The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Edward Blanton. Blanton is wanted by the United States Marshals Service and the Cleveland Division of Police for homicide. It is alleged that on August 7, Blanton shot and killed Yuri West, 29, in a gas station parking lot near the intersection of E. 140th Street and St. Clair Ave., in Cleveland.
Blanton, 21, is a black male, standing approximately 6 feet and weighing 185 pounds. It is believed that Blanton cut his hair short to hide his identity. Blanton is to be considered armed and dangerous.
