College Professor Resigns Over Misconduct Allegations

OBERLIN - A renowned organist has resigned as Oberlin College's conservatory professor, over allegations of sexual misconduct.

James David Christie has also resigned from his post at Holy Cross in Massachusetts due to similar allegations, of engaging in inappropriate behavior with students.

In an email, Oberlin College spokesman Scott Wargo says the college informed Christie of those allegations back on August 11th and immediately placed him on administrative leave pending an investigation, at which point, Christie tendered his resignation.
