Tribe Blanked By Red Sox; Indians And Boston Split Series

(Boston, MA)  --  David Price allowed just three hits over eight innings as the Red Sox shut out the Indians 7-0 at Fenway Park.  Price improved to 14-and-6 with the win.  

Blake Swihart, Xander Bogaerts and Eduardo Nunez each had two-run doubles in a six-run fifth inning for Boston.  J.D. Martinez added an RBI single in the sixth as the Sox salvaged a split of the four-game set.  

Adam Plutko gave up five runs in four-and-a-third innings to take the loss.  Greg Allen had two of Cleveland's five hits in defeat.

The road trip continues as the Indians open up a three-game series Friday night against the Kansas City Royals.  Mike Clevinger starts for the Tribe, and Brad Keller for K.C.  First pitch at 8:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
