Indians Hold Off Red Sox, 6-3

(Boston, MA)  --  The Indians jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the seventh inning and held on for a 6-3 win over the Red Sox in Boston.  Melky Cabrera finished 3-for-4, including a home run in his third straight game for Cleveland.  Yan Gomes also went 3-for-4 with a home run as the Tribe won its third in-a-row. 

Rookie Shane Bieber took a shutout into the seventh en route to his seventh win.  Nathan Eovaldi took the loss for Boston, which dropped its third straight.  

Xander Bogaerts, Mitch Moreland and Ian Kinsler drove in runs for the Sox in the seventh.

The four-game series in Boston continues Wednesday night with Carlos Carrasco taking the hill for the Tribe, and Brian Johnson for the Red Sox.  First pitch at 7:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
