(Cleveland) Drop it like it's hot!   Now that Snoop Dogg has gone gospel, he’s seeking redemption in another way: by making his theatrical debut in a new stage play featuring Tamar Braxton.

“I just partnered up with my main man Je'Caryous Johnson on a play -- that’s right y'all. Redemption of a Dogg and it's coming to theaters real soon,” Snoop says in an Instagram post.

“Tickets go on sale this Friday and the first show, we’re gonna do it October 5 in Houston. That’s right Houston, Texas," he continues.    It will make its debut in Cleveland in October.

The play is written, directed and produced by Je’Caryous Johnson, who created the recent Set It Offmusical starring LeToya Luckett, Da Brat, Demetria McKinney, and Kyla Pratt.

Redemption of a Dogg is based on Snoop’s life. According to a press release, the play “examines the internal battle one man has between preserving his life-long legacy and losing the love of his life when he is faced with choosing fame and fortune over faith and family.”

The production will feature Snoop’s greatest hits, as well as music from his recently released gospel album, Bible Of Love

This year, Snoop is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his 1993 debut album, Doggystyle.
