No motive yet in Beachwood murder case

(Cuyahoga County) - There were a lot of questions and only a few answers during a Beachwood Police press conference about last week's murder and double suicide.

Beachwood's Police Chief Gary Haba admits, it was the most bizarre crime the city has ever seen.

Haba says the doctor who was found shot dead several times in his Beachwood house last week was likely killed by his two sons.

He maintains, Dr. Richard Warn's sons, Michael and Mark, were involved in a SWAT standoff the day after, at a home Dr. Warn owned in South Euclid.

Both apparently committed suicide. Neighbors of the family claim the sons were paranoid and over-reliant on support provided by their father.

So far, detectives don't have a motive for the case. There's no concrete evidence of mental illness in the brothers, and they had not been in trouble before.

Haba reveals that police had been called to the Beachwood home several times before, but for nothing serious.

Haba says the case remains under investigation by South Euclid Police, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification.
