(Cleveland, OH) -- Trevor Bauer struck out 11 as the Indians hammered the Twins 10-0 in Cleveland. Bauer tossed six innings of scoreless ball to pick up the win. Yonder Alonso and Brandon Guyer each drilled homers for Cleveland in the fourth inning.
Jason Kipnis and Edwin Encarnacion also went deep for the Indians as they improved to 62-and-49.
Kyle Gibson surrendered seven hits and six runs across five frames to take the loss.
Minnesota dropped to 52-and-59 on the season.
The Indians, who are now 10 games ahead of the second-place Twins, host Minnesota for the second of four on Tuesday night. Carlos Carrasco starts against Adelberto Mejia. First pitch at 7:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
